A representative for O’Brien did not immediately return an email from The Associated Press. He said they took stuff anyway, and joked they’d been cursed because several cast members got sick.

“While O’Brien plays it for laughs, talking about bringing a Native American curse on the cast, his flip treatment of the crew’s actions is outrageous”, she writes in the overview. “They gave us this big speech when we got there to shoot, and they said, basically, ‘Don’t take anything”.

The cast of “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials”, the second movie in the franchise based on James Dashner’s “Maze Runner” book series, are being petitioned to apologize for allegedly stealing artifacts from an ancient Native American burial site, according to The Guardian.

Chris Sheffield, Ki Hong Lee, James Dashner, Dylan O’Brien, Alexander Flores, Kaya Scodelario, Jacob Latimore, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Dexter Darden attend the Twentieth Century Fox and Teen Vogue screening of “The Maze Runner” at SVA Theater on September 15, 2014 in New York City. “They were very strict about littering – and [said] don’t take any artifacts, rocks, skulls, anything like that…everyone just takes stuff, obviously”. Respect the grounds, ‘ ” he said.

But Cunningham doesn’t seem to want anyone to go to jail – she just wants the “Scorch Trials” crew to understand what they did was wrong. “Twentieth Century Fox has been extremely cooperative and shares the Film Office’s concern and sensitivity toward the matter”, Maniatis said. “If any artifacts were mishandled or removed from the location, we will do everything to ensure they are restored”.

“It hadn’t been used for filming ever before, “O’Brien said, during an appearance on the United States talkshow Live!” He told us he wasn’t sure what, if anything, O’Brien and his co-stars really did take – but said, “If the artifacts are not returned, we will be contacting our attorney”.

During the interview, O’Brien talked about the film’s shooting location at Diamond Tail Ranch, a 22,000-acre property which houses Native American ruins and pottery shards. “When you remove an item, you destroy the archaeological information in the contexts it provides”.
