Cosompolitan magazine under fire for labelling the Kardashians ‘America’s

According to MTV.com, the last time that the ladies had their shared magazine cover was with Redbook where they were all dressed in white, too. Weighing in on the same subject, the official Twitter account of BET posted the Obamas” picture and wrote, “America’s First Family.

The backlash extended to Instagram, where upset readers challenged Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Joanna Coles over why she had chosen to make light of the family of the United States’ first black president. “Like You’ve Never Seen Them Before” inside.

The headline could be a tongue-in-cheek play at the news of Kanye West’s 2020 presidential bid, which his wife Kim asserts is totally ‘serious.’ It could also be a reflection of how popular the family has become. Dubbing the reality TV starlets as “America’s First Family”, the magazine came under fire – because Barack, Michelle, Sasha and Malia Obama.

That in itself is usually enough to get the general public’s blood boiling, seeing as this glamorous group is one that people just love to hate.
