Will Smith Looking Forward To Meeting Co-star Jared Leto

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Google “Will Smith Jared Leto“, and you’re bound to be greeted with endless headlines about how Leto was so in-character in DC’s upcoming villain-focused flick that Will Smith says he’s never even met the real Jared Leto. Jai Courteney (who plays Captain Boomerang) said that Leto has been consistent in maintaining The Joker’s persona, on or off screen.

Will Smith revealed in an interview that he never really “met” his dedicated co-star on the set of ‘Suicide Squad.’ Actors not meeting their fellow cast members is not as uncommon as it sounds because four other actors admitted to having a similar experience.

Although the duo worked on the movie together for six months, Will – who plays Deadshot – insisted that Jared took his part so seriously that he never broke character.

Cinema Blend reports that in “Suicide Squad”, fans could witness how The Joker, who will reportedly play a role akin to famous murderer Hannibal Lecter, turned Harleen Quinzel to Harley Quinn.

“Speaking in an interview on Beats 1, Will said: “‘Suicide Squad” is insane.

According to the “Men in Black” star, he had literally never met Leto personally and that the two of them had never exchanged casual conversation behind the camera. I’ve only ever spoken to him as (my character) Deadshot, and him as The Joker.

He continued, “So, the first time I see him will be ‘Hey, Jared. What’s up?’ He was all in on the Joker”. A method that won the actor a slew of awards, including an Oscar.

Regarding the fan’s question, Leto said, “I can’t wait for you to see this – they’re going to lock me away in a box after this movie comes out”. “He called me to talk about his approach to the character and I steered him in a few directions”, said Morrisson. Online on June, Adam Beach, who plays Slipknot, revealed that he, too, became a witness to Leto’s method acting.
