City have had two bids rejected for the England worldwide, with the second offer worth around £40 million.

Ex- Gunner Ray Parlour feels Liverpool need to simply cut Raheem Sterling loose and move on.

Tottenham and Liverpool have both placed extremely high valuations on their young stars, as they know clubs will be willing to pay more for English players in order to fulfill the homegrown player rules. Straight away, you could see a refreshing attitude as a footballer in his willingness to take on defenders and instantly the fans warmed to him.

“At times he’s been unfairly treated this year with the press he’s got”.

Not at all because the transfer window hasn’t officially opened yet (opens next Wednesday) and the player is under contract with the club beyond the forthcoming season. He has a better chance playing regularly for Liverpool than he does City. He provided an assist but failed to score during his six appearances in the 2014-15 competition, per WhoScored.com, but Liverpool missed out on successive qualifications by finishing sixth in the Premier League.

Liverpool are presently in discussions with the SkyBet Championship club over minor details regarding a sell-on fee should the player subsequently leave Anfield in the future, but those talks won’t affect the deal going through. Suddenly he became the focal point of the attack, this in my opinion he was not ready for.

They do not want to miss out on Sterling and are expected in the next few days to submit a bid which will satisfy Liverpool. The player’s agent said the Belgium global owes the Bundesliga club for showing faith in him when his two-year stay at Chelsea ended disappointingly.

Sterling has been heavily linked with a move out of Anfield after publicly revealing that he rejected a £100,000-a-week contract from the club. It all got very silly. There’s a deal lined up somewhere, we mustn’t kid ourselves. But if his head’s not right, you’ve got a problem. It could even be argued that he represents an annual saving of around £4 million. “You only have one team who can win it”, he added.
