Harvick wins at Dover; Johnson eliminated
It made no difference, because it took the Budweiser Chevy just 24 laps to find the front of the field and a lead it would rarely relinquish for the rest of the afternoon.

“I think we’re better than we were a year ago, just because of the experiences and things that we’ve had”, Harvick said after the race. “That’s what it’s all about – those big-time moments”.
The final 12 drivers are moving onto the next round of the chase and the list of drivers feature 12 heavyweights all vying for a chance to move onto the next round as one of the final eight drivers. “We are now tracking this weekend’s weather and will update fans via social media, and our website, as information becomes available”.
Jamie McMurray, and Aric Almirola rounded out the top five. It was a really good job.
“I think we’re confident in our ability and the things that we do to prepare the cars and race on any given weekend”, he said. He’s got to either win of the next two races, or be as close to flawless as possible to continue his Chase.
“It’s tough having a very affordable axle seal be the culprit and take your championship hopes away”, Johnson said. It’s the first elimination race and we will see who the first four out will be.
The next round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, will kick off on Saturday, October 10.
Johnson got a pit road speeding penalty on the race’s first round of pit stops. He was runner-up to Johnson in May in the first Dover race.
Kevin Harvick, who started the Dover race 15th in the standings, was dominant in the race.
Now, they all have to deal down the stretch with a driver who has led 571 of 700 laps run the last two weeks. “When you don’t succeed it’s not near as much fun, but it just makes them extra special”. “Everybody wins. That’s why they’re so great”.
Briann January had 19 points and six assists and the Fever stole home-court advantage in the WNBA Finals with a 75-69 victory over the Minnesota Lynx in Game 1.
Johnson wasn’t letting Harvick lay the blame on him for the incident.
Busch’s 2015 season has been far from the status quo.
“I guess that it’s what it feels like to hit a walkoff in extra innings”, Harvick said after the victory. He was faster than all four Joe Gibbs Racing cars, as well as anything Hendrick Motorsports and Team Penske had. “We just needed one more point”.
As Harvick flourished, several fellow Chasers struggled. His No. 48 Chevrolet was forced off the track for 36 laps with a torn rear axle seal and his title shot was gone. By lap 158, Chase drivers Ryan Newman, Menard, Hamlin and Johnson were all off the lead lap.
“Well, I think as a competitor and when you look at other sports and as a competitor in general, you know what situations like this are”, he said.
“I definitely felt like I was in more control today”. They have known each other since the early days of their careers, which began in California before the two crossed the country to North Carolina to take a crack at making it in NASCAR. Just a few little detail could have happened to the No. 4 vehicle Sunday, but it didn’t.
“That’s a guy that can win all these races, and you don’t want to have to compete against a guy like that”, said Busch.

Matt Kenseth has the pole for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Dover after rain wiped out qualifying on Friday. Busch suffered a broken right leg and left foot after crashing into an infield concrete wall at Daytona worldwide Speedway. He also has wins at all three second-round speedways.
