‘Knifeman’ shot by police after Taser bids fail
A police officer in Regina used a Taser on a man who failed to follow instructions to show both of his hands.

The shooting took place in Kilburn Lane in Brent, north-west London.
Police were called to the disturbance in Claremont Road at around 2.45am and found the man, who was thought to have a knife.
Firearms officers joined in pursuit of the man, again a stun gun was discharged but once again was not effective.
When officers spotted the suspect he fled the scene and was eventually caught on Kilburn Lane where he was Tasered twice.
The man was immediately rushed to hospital following the incident, but there was no further information given as to the man’s condition.
A spokesman for the force said: “Officers discharged Taser but with no apparent effect on the man”.
According to police, an officer from the school resource program was on Sherwood Drive around 9:45 a.m. CST and noticed two men fighting in front of a home on Willoughby Crescent.

The incident has been referred to the Met Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
