The turbocharged, all-wheel-drive Lancer Evolution first hit the US market in 2003 and has garnered a cult following in the more than decade since. Mitsubishi has yet to publish performance specifications, but for what it’s worth, the regular Lancer Evolution – which uses a 291-hp engine – can sprint from zero to 60 miles per hourin less than five seconds.
The 2.0 liter turbo four engine now offers 303 hp power at 6,500 rpm and 305 lb/ft torque at 4,000 rpm up from 291hp and 300 lb/ft as seen on the standard GSR. Final Edition cars also receive chassis modifications typically reserved for the Evo MR, including Brembo brake rotors in the front, Bilstein shocks, and Eibach springs. They are new Pearl White, Rally Red, Mercury Gray and Octane Blue.
Inside, the Final Edition gets red stitching on the seats, steering wheel, shift knob, center console, floormats, and e-brake handle.
On the interiors, the Final Edition comes with a black headliner, pillars and sun visor. The center console is adorned with a numbered plaque that lets passengers know this is one special car. However, the final edition that is being sold would be rare, especially in the U.S because only 1600 units will be arriving.
“With its incredible combination of power, agility and Super All-Wheel Control, the Lancer Evolution is one of the most well-known sports sedans and is revered by “gearheads” around the globe”, said Mitubishi Motors North America executive vice president, Don Swearingen.

The Evolution Final Edition is based on the outgoing 2015 Lancer so it doesn’t benefit from the same visual updates as the upcoming 2016 model.
