James Harden: I’m the best player in the league

Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry against Toronto Raptors during Warriors’ 95-87 win in National Basketball Association preseason game at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., on Monday, October 5, 2015. “We were near the top in having the most injuries”. “We have such a young team, it’s very important to have a guy that can really teach the younger players how the game is supposed to be played and he is similar to Steve Kerr of all the coaches that I’ve had, that really knows the game and has great enthusiasm toward the game”. The two have evidently mended fences since then, because Harden recently agreed to sit down with Blinebury for a major profile published on NBA.com Tuesday. “I thought I was previous year too”.

“There’s so many factors”, he continued.

“I led the league in total points scored, minutes played”, he said.

“I don’t know”, Curry said. “That stays with me”.

When presented with Harden’s comments, Curry had a pretty simple reply: “It doesn’t change what happened past year”.

He detailed why he high-fived Andre Iguodala before one of his three Monday night three-pointers splashed, seemingly defended James Harden for whining about the MVP vote five months after the fact and was baited into lying. Obviously, you’ve got to motivate yourself and I’m sure he’s motivated this year to do a few special things. Considering the injuries to the Houston Rockets and the expectations of the team heading into 2014-15, he certainly has an argument for why he would be deserving, but deserving it over Curry is a different conversation.

Despite The Beard’s fun with numbers, the honor of the league’s most valuable player went to Stephen Curry. However, Harden felt that he was robbed of the title.

The award has been sitting in Curry’s home all summer – it’s not going to be Harden’s no matter how much he complains.

“Credit the Golden State Warriors for an unbelievable year”. “The Rockets finished second in the Western Conference despite Dwight Howard missing 41 games in the regular season, and that’s mostly because of Harden”.

The Rockets’ struggle to put together a healthy roster forced the club to lean on Harden more than it should have last season. Harden said. “Just wait”.

The point guard jokingly indulged.

We were facing most of the Rockets starters and even still had moments where we looked like our bench could be a real area of production, usually hidden between times of ineptitude. “Give me a pass and I can attack too, have a second penetrator and find somebody else”.
