Carson says he would have confronted shooter
In an interview on Sirius XM radio, Carson described an encounter he had at a Popeye’s restaurant in Baltimore.

SiriusXM Patriot host David Webb asked Carson how he would address the “epidemic” of single-parent households in this country.
“If a gunman walks up and points a gun at you and says, “What religion are you?’ That is the ultimate test of your faith”, Fox News” Brian Kilmeade said.
“I would not just stand there and let him shoot me”.
Critics have said his remarks appeared to blame the victims of shootings, including the latest one at an Oregon community college. But on “CBS This Morning” Wednesday, Carson doubled down on his comments.
In other words, not only did Carson completely cooperate with the gunman in this very possibly made-up fairy tale event, he actually redirected him towards a more appropriate victim. “That way, we don’t all wind up dead”, he told ABC News while chuckling on Tuesday.
Presidential contender Ben Carson, who was blasted earlier this week for criticizing how victims of last week’s horrific shooting in Oregon reacted during the attack, said Thursday he himself was held up at gunpoint. During an appearance on The View, Carson said the best way to protect small children like those who were murdered during the Sandy Hook shooting is not to tighten gun control, but to arm kindergarten teachers with guns and train them. “Nobody could truly understand what actions they would take like that in a situation unless they lived it”, Mathew Downing told CNN via Facebook.
Carson, a retired neurosurgeon with no political background, has been climbing GOP opinion polls, fueled by voters fed up with Washington and looking for an outside voice.
Hero? That’s what Ben Carson would say, probably.
While Carson’s comments drew ire from gun control advocates, he garnered support from another presidential contender – Donald Trump.

“She said she had multiple guns and believed wholeheartedly in the Second Amendment and wanted to get all the guns she could before someone outlawed them”, said Shelly Steele, who hired Ms Harper, a nurse, to provide care for her teenage son.
