England Confirm Training Ground Incident Involving Cipriani & Catt Prior To
Skills coach Catt had a row with Cipriani during the utility back’s final training session after he was cut from the 31-man World Cup squad last month. It’s understood that Catt twice told Cipriani: “I will end your career”.

“From my point of view, I will have to sit back and see how it unfolds”.
I respect what happens in the England camp and what goes on there, stays there.
Cipriani wrote in the Sun newspaper that he has “a good working relationship” with Catt after the pair spoke the day after the incident, and Lancaster praised the 27-year-old’s maturity.
“To say there’s a bias in selection is absolutely incorrect and completely unfair on the integrity of Andy Farrell, who I hold in the highest regard”, said Lancaster.
Lock Joe Launchbury said: “We have to come out on the weekend and wear the white shirt with pride and put in a good performance”.
England’s World Cup on home soil is effectively over, with just a dead rubber against Uruguay to play at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, after defeats to Wales and Australia meant they could not progress from Pool A.
“Sale Sharks are now my priority along with getting stuck into the season”.
“Mike’s only intention was only to get the best of the player as he does for all of the players”.

The outcome of World Rugby’s investigation into an alleged approach to match officials by two members of England’s coaching team at half-time in the loss to Australia has yet to decided and the probe is now in day four. “There’s nothing more to add to that”, Lancaster said.
