The PlayStation 4 Is Getting a Price Cut in North America
Sony had earlier cut the price of the console in Japan last month during the Tokyo Games Show, and game enthusiasts everyone had been looking forward to a price reduction in other parts of the world.

Sony has officially announced that the price of its PlayStation 4 in the U.S. has been reduced to $349.99, signifying a cut of $50 from the initial price tag.
According to a recent report on Reddit, it seems that several gamers who own PlayStation 4 consoles are starting to notice that the icon for Destiny: The Taken King is appearing on their consoles under their “Games”.
Non-Destiny PS4 gamers spotted this odd occurrence and reported it on NeoGAF, where it was revealed to be Sony’s new “curated content” recommendation system that automatically adds suggestions based on your previously downloaded games.
A Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars PS4 bundle will sell for $399.99 and a Star Wars Battlefront bundle will sell for $349.99. For Canadians, the price will be $429.99 CAD. NeoGAF members also point out that the store page Sony directs you to is for the most expensive version of the game.
We expect Microsoft to drop a Black Friday deal bombshell that will be gobbled up by fans, and that price will keep going for the next year or two, depending on how Sony reacts.
Sony has just announced an official price-drop for the PS4 starting tomorrow, October 9th.

“By cutting the price at this time, we aim to fuel momentum of PlayStation 4 toward the year-end holiday season”, a spokesman at Sony Computer Entertainment said. All attention will now be on the press conference, which is to kick-off on October 27.
