Tennessee WR Pig Howard dismissed from team

Jones formally announced Wed.in that Alton “Pig” Howard was dismissed for a violation of team guidelines.

“That’s between the student-athlete and ourselves, but we were just made aware of that today”, he said.

Howard had 54 catches for 618 yards and a touchdown in 2014.

Howard was suspended for the Vols’ season opener against Bowling Green for a violation of team rules. In 2015, he has been nearly non existent playing in 2 games and suffering a concussion. Jones had said Monday that Phillips would miss the game due to a shoulder injury….
