A 17-year-old girl jumped from a moving auto to escape from a would-be kidnapper after being lured into the vehicle by a woman.

Despite jumping out of the Toyota, the girl emerged uninjured from the attempted abduction on October 5 at 7:15 a.m.
The incident happened early Monday morning.

Police say the gray Toyota Yaris was discovered on Thursday in New Haven and is now in the custody of the Bridgeport Police Department. As police investigated the assault and attempted abduction, they are asking for the public’s help to find the woman and the auto.
Police aren’t saying how the girl was lured into the vehicle, the station said.
After the victim fled, the Toyota made a U-turn and traveled east on Boston Avenue into Stratford.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic female, roughly 40 years old, with freckles and black hair that was pulled up into a ponytail.
