Hillary Clinton Makes Fun of Trump and Herself on Saturday Night Live

They poked through the facade.

Last night, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton guest-starred in the 41st-season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

Clinton played Val, an understanding bartender who listened to troubles of candidate Hillary Clinton (Kate McKinnon).

Hanging out with her lookalikes is an old trick for Clinton.

In 2008, many voters mistakenly thought that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin listed the ability to see Russian Federation from Alaska as her primary foreign-policy credential. Yes, she read the cue cards, but then Fallon did that, too. “And smart, and really nice in person”. “It did take me a long time to decide that, yet I am against it”, McKinnon stated. I thought they were supposed to debate who had better policies, not who is a better character on SNL.

Keystone: It’s not all about personality. That implies that SNL thinks making Clinton more personable is a tougher trick than it was eight years ago – and one that requires taking on Clinton’s less likable features more directly. The first was that line about the Keystone XL pipeline.

Yet Clinton used the appearance on SNL to touch on LGBT issues, albeit in a self-mocking way. “What’s important is getting it right”, Clinton said.

A source tells ET that Miley had a couple of meltdowns earlier in the day leading up to her hosting gig, but whatever happened, the singer pulled it together by the time things went live from New York, and delivered a pretty enjoyable show on Saturday night!

“Why? What do you do for a living?” asked the real Clinton.

The camera then pans to behind the bar, where the actual Clinton, wearing a crisp white dress shirt, pours a vodka on the rocks for her tipsy doppelganger.

On “Fox and Friends” on Sunday morning, Trump was asked about Clinton’s impersonation of him.

Strong returned to coax McKinnon from the bar, as the fake Clinton recounted her experience with Val. McKinnon said shook the patron’s hand and said, “You’re welcome”. Barack Obama represented a fresh generation of leadership. Welcome back SNL, we’re going to need you going into the Iowa Caucuses. The nod to Clinton’s status as a grandmother led to disbelief from the real Clinton.
