Since the introduction of Microsoft’s new Windows 10 operating system in July, users who have upgraded their computers or purchased new devices with Windows 10 pre-installed have been contending with issues centering around the Windows Start Menu and the Cortana digital assistant. However, Microsoft chose to call its next flagship OS Windows 10 instead.
So we can assume the PC maker is set to debut a Star Wars-themed Windows 10 device this week.
For long, the software giant has been rumoured to be working with OEMs to release Windows Phone ROMs for their Android handsets and the latest patent only strengthens the buzz.
Microsoft is a member of the FIDO Alliance, an industry consortium featuring not only big tech companies like Google, Intel and Qualcomm, but banks and credit card companies like Bank of America, ING, Visa, and Mastercard. Logically, one would have to hope Microsoft will bring that effort to their new phones as well.

Factor that in with the fact that I can use the Xbox One video game console to stream to any Windows 10 devices, including the Surface (and hopefully, one day, the Windows Phone), and it means I can have my work life and my gaming life anywhere, no matter what device I’m using.
In recent years, Microsoft has gone from a company trying to put an end to the competition, to a company trying to make as many friends as possible. Microsoft have demo’ed full HD videos playing on a TV alongside mobile apps running seamlessly on the phones screen.
