Bob’s Burgers premiered on Fox back in 2011, and over the last four years has gleefully captured the trials and tribulations of the restaurant-owning Belcher family.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the animated sitcom, which won an Emmy for outstanding animated comedy in 2014, has been a “reliable performer” as the opener for Fox’s Sunday comedy programming.
Bob’s Burgers will be serving up sardonic laughs for the foreseeable future. The critically-acclaimed series will celebrate its 100th episode this season, as well as feature guest voices Jenny Slate, Billy Eichner, Steve Buscemi, Wanda Sykes, Henry Winkler, Tim Meadows, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Zach Galifianakis.

Fox Broadcasting Co. Entertainment president, David Madden, announced the series renewal on Wednesday and touted the mass appeal of the cartoon. “Bob’s Burgers is hilarious, warm, smart, inventive… and we look forward to seeing what Bob and the family will cook up in seasons seven and eight”. The cartoon launched in syndication and off-net reruns during the week of September 21 and averaged a robust 1.2 rating among adults 18-49.
