In a statement to the Washington Post Saturday, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders declared his support for the Obama administration’s current policy of bombing Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and opposed, for now, the more aggressive intervention proposed by former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, his main rival for the Democratic presidential nomination.

“Sen. Sanders doesn’t have the name ID with Latinos that Clinton does, but we see that as a good thing”, Arturo Carmona, the newly appointed Latino outreach coordinator for the Sanders’ campaign, told FNL. There are more than a few Reublicans for Bernie Sanders out there.
Then on September 22, Clinton publically denounced the pipeline at a community forum in Iowa, citing her “strong” stance on the environment and climate change as reason for opposition.
When Clinton began campaigning in primary states, she boasted to voters about how she started the process of negotiations in getting the pipeline approved.
Obama closed by recalling another previous campaign theme of his, as he listed the work that still needed to be done by a future president. Grijalva also pointed out he liked that fact that Sanders has “not been disparaging about his opponents…”
Sanders has long highlighted differences with Clinton, from his anti-Iraq War vote (Clinton backed the war but has since expressed regret) to his support for a $15-an-hour minimum wage.
Karina Preciado-Quintanilla, an academic adviser at Brandman University in California and a master’s student herself, asked Sanders in the rope line how she’d be able to escape the burden of student loan debt and afford a house. I am supporting her, much to the consternation of my district.
“I’ve spent the last 15 years really dealing with everyday Latino voters and families, with organizing them at the grassroots level, organizing them digitally and mobilizing them by the tens of thousands”, he said.
“Hillary represents status quo, establishment politics, Super PACs, catering to the wealthy, and tiptoeing around the issues that matter”, Austin said. “She has a different style and a different approach”.
“That is the whole appeal”.
“Unlike earlier Democrats, Clinton doesn’t have to worry that these proposals are going to hurt her. She still has to compete in Pennsylvania, Ohio and the upper Midwest, where guns are important”, he said. “He still has that fire, that passion for real reform”.
She may not see it now, but Clinton’s impulsive need to be liked by everyone in her party will presumably end in her being disliked by the average voter. Many hope that Bernie’s honest faith in the younger generation will inspire America’s youth to register to vote. That means he will have to use carrier pigeons, or whatever way old people get their information.
