It was on Monday that Microsoft took to a stage in New York City to announce its upgraded line of iPhone, iPad and MacBook rivals.

Both of the Surface Pro models include a multiposition kickstand for switching between laptop and tablet viewing and a Surface Pen for writing and drawing directly on the screen. The Surface Pro 4 with 16 GB RAM, 256 GB as well as Intel Core i7e amounts $1,799.

A new surface pen has also been introduced. The Surface Pro 4 has a higher display resolution, a more powerful processor, more RAM and more accessories, Pocket-Lint wrote. The laptop comes in 13.5-inch display with 267 pixels per inch and sports a track pad made of glass.

The only difference here is that the Surface Pro 4 is 7 percent thinner than the Surface Pro 3.

The Surface Book, on the other hand, is a solid laptop first and foremost. $1,699 gets shoppers the same machine with 256GB of storage.

Let’s face it, the real technological fad right now is that of wearables.

The Microsoft Surface Book comes in five variants, with specifications ranging from Intel’s Core i5 to Core i7 processors and storage space of up to 512GB. With 3 iterations of the Surface behind them, they made the Surface Book elegantly with those same design principles, only enhancing its performance under the hood. Its sister model, the Surface Pro 3, has a 12-inch Full HD touch-screen display and weighs 1.76 pounds. Amazon shows a delivery date of October 30th for all the small, medium and large sizes. Analysts claim that many individual users who have been smitten by the charm of this exceptionally looking laptop will also go week in their knees when it is actually available in the market. All versions of the Microsoft Band 2 cost $249. For the first time in a decade people are excited by a Microsoft product – as Tech Insider’s Steve Kovach was – and Satya Nadella seems to be having an overall positive impact on the company, untying internal feuds and rolling out products that are class-leading, such as Office for iPad.

The Surface 4 could also come fanless meaning no more noise thus cementing its place in the tablet world. The Surface Book is aimed at creatives and professionals who might need a tablet at a few point, but prefer the comforts of a regular notebook. The devices were marketed as laptops built into a screen with a keyboard dock.
