We have to admit, that we’re truly intrigued as to how the HoloLens work, and might just start saving for that $3000 dev kit…

The wearable holograms – teased in the Project X-ray game – are built around a small controller and are visible only to HoloLens wearers or those watching the virtual battles on a screen. But even with a few wiggle room, this $3,000 sets Microsoft’s Hololens in a league of its own, buffered by at least an order of magnitude. “Developers will dictate its ultimate success and the long term relevance of Windows, so it’s crucial Microsoft priotises developers as part of a phased launch”.

The XRay experience is like Minecraft on HoloLens, similarly looking incredible, said Engadget.

Starting today, Microsoft will be taking applications for its new development kits of the HoloLens augmented reality system. It has special sound sensors to map the environment and understand the user’s movements. “No wires, no phones and no connection to a PC is required”.

The video game was presented at the recently held Microsoft October 2015 event by Terry Myerson, IGN reports. It’s a space created by devices like the HoloLens, where digital elements are blended into the world-hence mixed reality. Essentially turning your house into the games arena, it is your mission to protect yourself from an alien that is hiding out in your walls. When the enemies came out of the wall and enter the area, they will attack the player.
