Google Drive down; Google Docs affected

Google updated their Apps status page to show that the company is looking into reported issues.
The main website for Google Drive and Slides, the presentation counterpart to Docs and Sheets, at first appeared to be unaffected but later also went down.
“I’m going to take ‘Google Docs encountered an error” to mean ‘Lady, you should knock off early and start your weekend.’ tweeted Rikki Endsley.
But Twitter users were more emphatic.

One of Google’s main products, Google Drive, was unavailable to millions of users on Friday evening with the file storage service telling users their documents did not “exist”. “We will provide more information shortly”, Google said. With the ability to request access from the app now becoming available, anyone would be able to get in and see the files they need even if not near a computer.
