During bowl week, the band members receive instruction from top collegiate, high school and drum and bugle corps instructors from across the country, as well as educational sessions with members of the U.S. Army Field Band.
Haunted High will be open on Friday, October 23 from 10pm to midnight (after the home football game versus T.C. Robertson HS) and on Saturday, October 24 from 8pm to 11pm.
The bands will present their shows and be judged in categories according to Michigan Scholastic Band standards. In their class, the band earned first place, including first place in percussion, guard and visual effects.
The smallest bands are in Group I. The subsequent groups include larger bands. The Wyandotte show will be the last.
The Artesia High School marching band and color guard both perform Tuesday evening at the 52nd Annual Southeast New Mexico Music Educators Association District Marching Festival at Bulldog Bowl. During a cold and wet day, the band pushed through harsh conditions to finish strong against a few talented competition. “Our chairperson, Ann Marie Dajos, has put countless hours into the preparations for the show and many volunteers will come together to ensure everyone’s enjoyment”.
