The Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a young child with a head injury at a resident in Maple Gove Township.
Formal charges against Anderson are pending further review by the Becker County attorney, said Sheriff Todd Glander.
Sterling Anderson, 23, was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of Steven Warren.
Becker County authorities arrest a man after a three old boy is killed in Maple Grove Township, northeast of Callaway. Charges are expected in the next couple days. He died in a Fargo hospital.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and White Earth Police Department are assisting the Becker County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
Upon arrival, EMS found a 3-year-old boy, later identified as Warren, had suffered head injuries.

The child’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.
