Supporters of Confederate Flag concerned over flag’s future
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh told his listeners on Tuesday that the effort to get rid of the flag is aimed at “destroying the South as a political force”, and he predicted: “The next flag that will come under assault, and it will not be long, is the American flag”.

A look at the five statutes shows each has provisions to bar efforts to “mutilate, deface, defile, or abuse contemptuously” the flag, emblem, standard, color or ensign of the Confederate States of America.

Target pulled its one obvious Confederate costume from its website after CNBC questioned the retailer about it. A company spokeswoman later said, “Our intention is never to offend”.
