The Florida Highway Patrol says a 7-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle while waiting for the bus early Wednesday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal crash, which occurred around 8:20 a.m.at Whippoorwill Drive and Winter Haven Court in Palm Coast.
The accident happened near Kymora’s home, and her mother came to the crash site and went with her to Flagler Hospital, where Kymora died. They said she was cooperative with the investigation. She was walking to get on the bus to head to Wadsworth Elementary School.
The Flagler County school superintendent was at the school Wednesday morning, along with counselors and psychologists, to support the students and faculty.
Classmates of the victim watched the scene unfold from their bus stop. “Her life hadn’t even started yet”.
“They’re just unfortunate accidents from what I understand; this one being the most serious of them all”, Flagler Schools Information Specialist Jason Wheeler said.
This was the third traffic incident involving children this year.
“I even brought here a Minny Mouse cause she reminds me so much of my daughter”, said a neighbor.

“They obviously had to be interviewed by FHP, by investigators as well”.
