Unlike the Flipkart’s sale, which will be app-only, Amazon Great Indian Festive Sale deals will be available to consumers on the Web as well as mobile and apps. Amazon is also promising app users a “sneak peek” of the Amazon Great Indian Festive Sale deals before other users and deal notifications. There were also a few discrepancies the sites faced while coping with the sale day rush on their respective sites. There would be one victor every day through the five days of the event.
Amazon’s Great Indian Festive Sale will go head to head against Flipkart’s Big Billion Days from October 13 to October 17 in a bid to capture the mind- and market-share in the burgeoning Indian e-commerce space.
The victor will be chosen by a random draw of lots to answer a qualifying contest question which will enable the participant to win a chance to receive the prize. Besides this, Amazon is going to offer HDFC cash back till 15 percent on mobile app transactions and 10 percent on browser transactions. The company says that this will allow them to offer their “Fulfilled by Amazon” service to SMEs in the region as well as bring down operation costs affiliated with servicing their customers. You have to sign-in to Amazon app after downloading it on your phone. We will have to wait and watch who manages to lure more customers this year.
