Florida State freshman quarterback De’Andre Johnson suspended from team
“Florida State head football coach Jimbo Fisher has announced the indefinite suspension of true freshman De’Andre Johnson for a violation of athletic department policy”. Witnesses told police the woman raised her arms, then Johnson grabbed her arms and punched her in the face. The woman declined comment and further medical treatment after being treated at the scene.

Johnson had committed to Florida State in 2012 and never wavered despite offers from Auburn, Clemson, Ohio State and Tennessee among others.
The Tallahassee Democrat was provided with a heavily redacted police florida-state-seminoles-suspended-indefinitely”>report. The victim’s name was listed in the report, but the suspect listed in the report was described as a black male between the age of 22 and 23.
The suspension comes in the wake of a police report filed that accuses Johnson of striking a woman while at a bar in Tallahassee. The most well documented case was Jameis Winston’s, as the TPD failed to interview him on several occasions after a female student accused him of raping her. Winston did, however, serve 20 hours of community service after he was given a citation for stealing crab legs from a Publix grocery store in Tallahassee last April.
Freshman Deondre Francois of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, also joined FSU’s quarterback competition this summer. He was Rivals’ No. 12 dual-threat quarterback.
Johnson won 2014 Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Football honors.
