It has been reported that the two iconic bands have been in talks for a number of months now.
But wait a minute, is there any truth to this story?
The Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys may be teaming up for a joint super tour next year. Rex The Spice Girls 1997 “They have been huge still their success did not last quite as long, so teaming with another act is a method of booking bigger venues”.
For the sake of diehard 90s pop star fans, we sure hope these rumors prove to be true.
The Wannabe hitmakers are planning a 20th anniversary reunion tour for 2016 and have been in touch with the boyband with the idea of doing a joint tour in the US.
A source told me: “America had a different relationship with The Spice Girls”. The Spice Girls last debuted Forever in November 2000, and reunited for their Return of the Spice Girls tour in 2007. “Well I’ve been saying it for five years – we are reuniting”.
Meanwhile, Mel B recently confirmed she was a driving force behind talks for a reunion and claimed Posh Spice would have to be involved for any kind of comeback. “If we do something, it has to be all of us”, said Mel B during the Meredith Viera Show.
“Nothing has been announced, nothing’s official”.
Talking to American TV host Jimmy Fallon in August she said, “I want us to get back together, I think we should, it’s been 20 years, it’s about time”.
