Chloe Goins, the woman who says Bill Cosby drugged and assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 2008, will file a federal lawsuit against the comedian in Los Angeles today.

But since the allegations against him re-emerged last fall, his attorneys have endeavored to raise doubts about individual accusers and about their stories as multiple women joined the chorus of those making allegations against Cosby.

Ms Goins, speaking outside LAPD headquarters, said of the dozens of women who have accused Cosby of sexually assaulting them, she is one of the few who can bring Cosby to justice.

Mr Kuvin said: “This lawsuit represents a significant milestone in the collapse of Bill Cosby’s fabricated public image over the years”.

The 24-year-old claims that after being introduced to Cosby by Hugh Hefner, Cosby put a few type of narcotic in her drink without her knowledge. The next thing she recalls, she was waking up in a bed, naked while Mr. Cosby is biting her toes.

In all, Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual assault or misconduct by more than 51 women over a 50-year period. The suit’s focus is on the same incident that may launch another possible criminal suit against Cosby that the Los Angeles Police Department is now investigating.

She is seeking $75,000 in damages.

Goins’ lawsuit does not mention a specific date, but the case has been filed under a provision where victim of underage sexual abuse can sue for several years after they turn 18 years old.
