DJI Osmo 4K Handheld Camera Delivers Cinema-Quality Stabilization
Industry experts call it a “robotic selfie stick” as the video recording camera has a stabilizing arm.

Actually, the Osmo is a bit more than that: With a built-in swiveling 4K camera and sophisticated stabilization, it’s an all-purpose tool for people who want cinematic imagery but don’t want to spring for a serious DSLR or camcorder.
DJI, the company behind popular Phantom drones has launched a new fully integrated, stabilized handheld 4K camera. It would be great as a stocking stuffer for this X-Mas for you and your selfie-obsessed friends.
As for it being a fully fledged robot, might be a overstatement.
DJI has just released the ultimate selfie stick which aims to make selfies professional.
In addition to all this, as we’d said, the Osmo also comes with a smartphone mount, which is useful since the camera doesn’t come with its own LCD or OLED display and instead relies on the screen of your phone itself. The gimbal keeps the Osmo in place as you move around trying to find the ideal pose for your shot.
As for further details of the Osmo’s design, the overall device comes with controls built right into its grip for minimal user movement while adjusting video parameters, pausing, stopping or switching to photo shooting from video while in the middle of using the camera. The device has a few extra features on top of that, namely a modular format that allows Osmo to work with a few of DJI’s other products.
“The Automatic Panorama mode makes shooting 360-degree panoramas easier than ever”. Just hold the Osmo up above your head and tap the shutter speed. The camera will rotate, capturing images as it goes while staying completely level.
The gimbal is really useful if you have twitchy hands, like me.
