College Students Surprise Campus Worker with “Magical” Trip to Walt Disney World
The two started a GoFundMe page that has raised more than $7,000 so far. Thompson broke down in tears when she saw the students standing there with a sign reading, “You and your family are going to DISNEY WORLD”. Thompson hadn’t been able to take them because she couldn’t afford it. “They know I don’t have it, to take them, but it’s always been a dream of mine”, she said.

As reported by Littlethings.com, Elon University students Taylor Zisholtz and Lucy Smith-Williams recently came up with the most heartfelt idea to show their appreciation for Kathryn Thompson, who wanted nothing more than to take her family of five on a trip to Disney World.
Once the money had been raised, Zisholtz, Smith-Williams and fellow students presented Thompson with the surprise trip while dressed in Mickey Mouse shirts and carrying balloons. Kathryn is an exceptional person and deserves every ounce of love she is receiving. In a world where everybody is so cold, they keep their wishes and their feelings all to themselves. They surprised her at the beginning of her Monday night shift this week. “With Kathryn it was just an open door, she welcomes everyone, in and she works so hard”, Taylor said. Her managers told the Elon Pendulum that she has always been reliable and hardly ever calls out.
The students say Thompson’s eyes lit up when she learned Smith-Williams was from Florida.

Thompson plans to bring her son, daughter-in-law and her two grandsons, according to ELN.
