Friday’s news doesn’t guarantee the show a second season renewal, but it’s certainly an encouraging sign, particularly when the network makes the news known in a separate press release, which isn’t always the case with back nine orders. With an average 2.7 rating/9 share in the adults 18-49 demographic according to Nielsen results, the show has continued to gain millions of viewers each week. Like The Blacklist before it, Blindspot has also been a big DVR gainer. The heavily promoted drama involves the mystery of a woman, with no memories of her past, who’s found naked in Times Square with her body covered in tattoos. The team of executive producers includes Greg Berlanti, best known for “Arrow” and CBS’ upcoming “Supergirl”.
