The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 4.4 magnitude natural disaster near Medford Saturday morning. Along with Wichitans, residents in Anthony, Kiowa, Newton, Valley Center, Cheney, Goddard, McPherson, Oberlin, Salina, Abilene and Fredonia reported feeling the quake.

The Oklahoma Geological Survey is on record saying numerous state’s recent earthquakes have been caused by the injection of wastewater from natural gas and oil drilling operations.

Another natural disaster was reported about 5:20 p.m.

The largest natural disaster was strong enough to shake items, but there have not been any reports of damage.
