It is unclear if the 29-year-old was in town for Austin City Limits, a popular music festival that kicked off its second weekend on Friday.
According to Vanity Fair, the arrest came after LaBeouf and his friend were not allowed inside of a bar.
After walking away from the bar, Shia who was highly intoxicated either on alcohol or drugs apparently ran down the street and start misbehaving. Witnesses reportedly saw LaBeof trying to enter a local bar with a woman but he was ultimately denied entry due to his level of intoxication. The actor began to swear and tried to enter the bar forcibly, but failed. He has been arrested in the past for criminal trespassing, assault and disrupting a Broadway show.
“The reason he got arrested originally is because he was jaywalking across the street over to [a bar there]”.
His case was dismissed and sealed after he displayed good behaviour in six months.
Following his arrest, LaBeouf’s publicist said the actor was receiving outpatient care for addiction. In 2011, he got into a bar fight with another patron in the Sherman Oaks district of Los Angeles.
Reports say that he was taken in under the offence of public intoxication, and the incident happened in Texas, USA.
