Chip Kelly is admitting that right now his play calling might be a little off. The Philadelphia Eagles have the offensive weapons to make the team championship contenders, yet they have not been able to fit all of the puzzle pieces together to get wins.

After the Eagles’ atrocious 1-3 start to the 2015 season, everyone under the sun was crushing Chip Kelly. As he continues to rotate with Mathews and Darren Sproles, Kelly is aware that giving the ball to the team’s star might be wise, but he still favors the equal split.
“We don’t make excuses or allow others to make excuses for us”, Kelly said. I think they’ve been doing a good job. For four weeks we’ve played a few pretty good defenses.
From the kicker to the secondary to the coaches to the running back with eight carries, the Eagles have plenty of explanation for their clumsy start.
In addition to this, the Eagles doled out a huge amount of cash for DeMarco Murray, who has put up 47 rushing yards thus far this season. We’re not just going to give up. The Chip Kelly critics are as loud as ever and, given what’s taken place on the field, it’s hard to blame them. In the three games that he did play this season, Maxwell has surrendered 21 catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Davis simply shrugged them off and said the Fox announcer was trying to get his TV ratings up. If he really didn’t need the million, maybe he could have just stayed with the Eagles and given the million bucks to me.
Murray acknowledged he’s part of a different offensive scheme that the Eagles run compared to what he was used to in Dallas, especially with their propensity to run the ball out of the shotgun formation.
“It falls on everybody”, Kelly said. “I know the message I’ve said to our team”. It’s a professional sports league where accountability must come from all levels, the head coach and players included. There was a lot of us that could have made another play. “It’s on the entire offense”. Kelly said on Wednesday that he’s happy with the players on his roster. I would love to get everybody in a right lather and going.

The Eagles’ running game, thought to be the strength of the offense during the preseason, has been a work in progress. We’re not successful on first and second down.
