Bushrod Ruled Out for Bears’ Game Sunday vs. Chiefs

For starters, it was their first week practicing without number one center Will Montgomery. It will be surprising if decisions on Royal and Jeffery are announced before Sunday morning.

“As soon as [Jeffery is] ready to go, it’ll be interesting to see kind of how we evolve and adapt and try and use him to his strengths and get him rolling”, offensive coordinator Adam Gase said.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery did not practice on Friday, according to ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson. If both Jeffery and Eddie Royal (ankle) are unable to play, Marquess Wilson and Josh Bellamy will likely start, with Matt Forte and Martellus Bennett potentially getting even more touches than usual. He is listed as doubtful on the Bears’ injury report as he continues to deal with an ankle issue. After coming back from a hamstring injury last week, Cutler admits he is still not completely healthy.

Head coach John Fox wasn’t very concerned with the long list of injured players, because he has a very good idea which ones will be able to tough it out and play. “I’m still not exactly where I want to be, but it is what it is, and we have a lot of guys banged up out here”.

If I were to wager a guess, I’d say Ratliff makes his season debut and Jeffery misses a 4th consecutive game.
