Welcome to Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp!
In an interview with the club’s in-house television channel, LFC TV, Klopp described the job as “the biggest challenge…in the world of football”.

“It is interesting that nobody is satisfied or patient”.
I am not an idiot. “We only want to talk about very good players”, he continued. I am 48 and most of the time in my life I had no money to take a holiday and then I had no time. “And it is not so bad a thing to be a friend of mine”.
Klopp, who won the Bundesliga twice in his seven seasons in charge of Borussia Dortmund, signed a three-year deal on Thursday to take over at Anfield.
Klopp added that the goal is to grow Liverpool into the best team in the world and suggested the club will win a title within the next four seasons.
“Let’s not forget Liverpool has not won the championship since 1990”.
What did you make of Klopp’s first press conference? If smart and intelligent guys sit together and they want the same, where is the problem? “Everything is there. Four or five strikers you can work with when they are not injured, midfielders, defenders are experienced and young, goalkeeper is really good“. Klopp’s first test will come in the form of Premier League game against high-flying Tottenham at White Hart Lane on 17th October. “We have to change from doubters to believers”. “It’s similar – nobody is satisfied”. He also calmed fears about the club’s infamous transfer committee, saying he was happy having the first and last say.
Predecessor Brendan Rodgers spent nearly £300million in just over three years and many of his signings were criticised for not being up to scratch.
“For me it is enough that I have the first and the last word”, the 48-year-old German said. In the middle, we discuss things. It’s the manager that knows more than anyone about who he wants to coach. “But it is very easy to handle”. So please give us time.
Ayre said: “We always say that we have great ambition at the club and it’s always about continually improving, and in Jurgen we definitely feel that he’s somebody who can take us forward”. “We have to start anew and see what happens this year”.
“All I can do is welcome Jurgen to England and wish him the very best of luck with his job of making Liverpool the top team that the owners would like them to be”.
It looks as though Jurgen Klopp will be announced as the new manager of Liverpool tomorrow at 10am after a week of speculation regarding the Borussia Dortmund manager.
“It’s important that we play our own game”.

“Everybody knows me. I haven’t changed in four months”. (My style is) emotion inside, it’s speed, it’s a transition game.
