Tesla Launches Luxury Electric SUV
According to a Reuters report, Tesla CEO Elon Musk told reporters ahead of a launch event near the company’s Fremont factory, that Tesla could have done less with the Model X. Musk said this filtration system is capable of filtering out particles on a near microscopic scale, and would be able to get rid of toxins and biological weapons. And it’s important to show that any type of auto can go electric.

With enough seats for seven people, the Model X also goes from 0 to 60mph in just 3.2 seconds and sports an especially large windscreen for panoramic views.
The Model X will be available in tow variants, which includes the P90D and 90D, having all wheel drive format with 413km range with top speed of 250kmph and can produce 259 hp.
Tesla Motors live-streamed the X’s big reveal, showing off its falcon doors, which are hinged and sensor-equipped, as well as the interior design. Musk has acknowledged that the “difficulty in engineering” a few of the SUV’s parts had been greater than he had originally expected.
The new cars, six in all, were delivered Tuesday to a group of board members, investors and friends of Musk and Tesla who had pre-ordered. Besides modes to circulate outside air or re-circulate inside air, a third “bioweapon defense mode” will create positive pressure inside the cabin to protect occupants.
When Tesla unveiled a prototype Model X SUV in 2012, it was supposed to hit the market by 2014.
The established auto makers have been put on notice with the innovative Model X. The only thing that is holding back Tesla is production capacity.
We recently learned that Tesla was burning through cash and taking a more-than $4,000 loss on every auto sold, though in August the company beat analyst expectations for its second quarter earnings. The base Model S, which has a late December delivery date as of Tuesday, costs about $72,000.

The SUV should have an appeal for new customers, in particular women, and it starts sales as the market is booming for luxury SUV.
