Athletics: Bolt hopes to rediscover form by taking part in Jamaica championships
Mystery surrounds the fitness of Usain Bolt after he withdrew from the 100m at Jamaica’s national trials Thursday and his management team failed to provide any explanation for his absence.

The 28-year-old is scheduled to compete at Diamond League meets in Paris and Lausanne next month. “I did this. Please have mercy on me, ’” Gatlin said. “To have mastered all the techniques, including the great starts at his height, is truly an achievement in itself”.
His electric time in the semi-final, followed by another sub-ten run that saw him place second in the final behind Tyson Gay, has placed the youngster in some elite company.
However, the 28-year-olds manager Ricky Simms says Bolt had never been a definite participant at the meeting.
The world’s fastest man is on a quest for quality and will only compete in the 100 metres, which sees 55 other hopefuls.
No one has beaten him at either 100m or 200m since 2013. His finish of 20.29 seconds was a more than a second faster than his world record (19.19). For now, it appears as though his participation in those will go to plan.
Williams said any suggestion that Bolt’s dominance or abilities being in decline should be dismissed.
“But I think those guys are a threat as well”. “” “I am 6′ 4″ and he is 6′ 5″, but he moves so easily”.
The sub-10 king also knows that Blake, who missed the 2013 world championships in Moscow, has a seasonal best of 10.21secs and hasn’t looked sharp in his brief outings this term.
“I ate with Prime Minister (Michael) Manley at Jamaica House, so I am honorary Jamaican”. Bolt is yet to run below 10 seconds at 100 metres this year.

The 28-year-old had signed up for Thursday’s race in a bid to improve his form for August’s World Championships in China, which he qualifies for as defending 100m and 200m champion.
