News of the transaction was first reported via the team’s website.

The 49ers announced Saturday that Wright, who signed a one-year deal as a free agent from the Chargers, has been released.
Wright began the preseason as a starting cornerback opposite Tramaine Brock. Wright’s release shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. He was released in September and signed to the practice squad. He can collect the balance of his base salary as termination pay, sign with another team, and retain that paycheck, too.
Tiller was initially a sixth-round pick of the New Orleans Saints from the 2012 National Football League draft. He joined the 49ers practice squad in October 2014. The Niners were hoping to utilize Wright’s cover skills in sub packages, but when he was not activated for the third game in a row in Week 3, Wright expressed his desire to play elsewhere.

The 49ers do have a few question marks along their offensive line heading into their Week 5 matchup with the New York Giants. Tackle Joe Staley (knee) is listed as questionable and guard Alex Boone (shoulder, ankle) is probable.
