Five England players left out for next game

And England, notorious for starting their games slowly, can be backed at 63/20 to draw the first half and win at full-time.

England manager Roy Hodgson said five players had dropped out of his squad following the 2-0 win over Estonia at Wembley on Friday.

Kane, 22, has scored from the bench in each of his three England appearances, and played in last summer’s Under-21 European Championships, where England went out at the group stage.

English star Wayne Rooney, England’s national team captain, was awarded the Golden Boot for his remarkable G, becoming the team’s top striker with 50 goals.

Hodgson had said that Rooney’s injury put Kane in “pole position” for the role of main striker, but the Tottenham misfired the opportunities that came his way.

Joe Hart, Gary Cahill and James Milner, who all played 90 minutes against the Estonians, will also not travel to Lithuania for the final qualifier in Vilnius on Monday.

Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney, who missed the victory in London through injury, will return to Manchester United tonight.

The chance to train with England’s established stars wasn’t the only shock of the day for the Toffee’s Under 21 star though, with England captain Wayne Rooney giving him a motivational pep talk.

Spurs striker Kane failed to impress as centre-forward and will not want to see a replay of the attempted volley that bounced off his standing leg early in the second half.

Ross Barkley says that although frustrated not to open his Wembley account, the fact that England maintained their ideal qualifying record was the most important thing.

“It’s now that we have him exclusively to ourselves”.

The Three Lions have been in sensational form during the qualifying campaign and will be looking to continue that fine run when they host minnows Estonia on home soil.

“We saw what he can do”, Hodgson said.

“I really feel an important part of this squad and game by game hoping to stamp my authority on the pitch”.

He continued: “I got an assist so I am happy with that”.

‘I think it will give a good marker for us, ‘ he said.

Asked about the huge grin he wore after Kane’s goal against Manchester City last month, Hodgson added: “I try not to (celebrate) because I am the guest of one club, and there are directors of the other club there who might be hosting me the next week”.
