Patrick Owomoyela: Jurgen Klopp will bring “special approach” to Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp is the first Liverpool manager in decades that wont have to face Alex Ferguson as a rival in the Premier League.

“My teams must play at full throttle and take it to the limit every time”.
Klopp also promised fans and supporters to bring “full throttle” football with a “big heart” to Anfield.
Accepting one of the biggest challenges in European football by taking over at Liverpool, Klopp has taken on the expectation of a fanbase familiar with success. The German insists he has no problem working under a committee and has confirmed he will have the final say, but Ferguson voiced his concerns and disbelief at Liverpool’s continued insistence on using one. “Does anybody in this room think I can do wonders? No?” It’s not the ideal moment but it’s a good moment to come. It is not a normal club.
“It’s not normal club, it’s a special club”.
He told the media: “We have to develop”.
He said: “Winning is important, but so is how you win and how you play the game”.
“You have to change from doubters to believers”. It is not a problem.
He said: “For me it’s enough that I have the first and last word, and in the middle we can discuss about everything”. I need the other people to get ideal information.
“That’s what we did but they are not the same players [here]. But it is very easy to handle”.
“I’m not the guy to say “this year will be the best year in the history of Liverpool”. I am the normal one maybe? Then I had the great opportunity to take Dortmund, a very great club, for seven years. Everyone knows me. I don’t change in four months. [My style is] emotion inside, it’s speed, it’s a transition game. You will see this. I’m not a dream man, I don’t want to have Cristiano or Lionel and all these players in one team.
“It is surreal. But I have to accept this”.
“I am not here today to speak too much about our football. I’m the normal one”. So that was a good move and in the end we have to start to work and we will see.
“Please give us time to do the work but if we sit here in four years, I think we will have won one title”.
After an inconsistent start to the campaign under Rodgers, including two draws in the Europa League group stages, the Anfield faithful will hope that the German’s arrival will inspire the squad to produce his exciting brand of football that he instilled at Dortmund. It is similar but different. But we don’t have a pre-season, we’re in the middle of the season almost.
“In Dortmund we did what we had to do”. It is the same idea here.

‘I think it suits Liverpool a lot more than Carlo Ancelotti, and there are parallels that can be drawn with Rafa Benitez coming from Valencia’.
