Iran test fires long-range ballistic missile
Designed and manufactured by Iranian experts, the missile named “Emad” is “Iran’s first long-range missile that can be guided and controlled until hitting the target”, Dehghan said.

Iran has successfully tested a new ballistic long-range missile, Iranian Defense Minister General Hossein Dehghan stated today.
Concerns have been raised outside Iran that it could use its existing Shahab-3 medium-range ballistic missile, which is believed to have a firing range of 2,000 kilometres, to hit arch-rival Israel.
“Our leadership and armed forces are determined to increase our power and this is to promote peace and stability in the region”.
Under global restrictions, Iran has used domestic talents to improve its military power, frequently unveiling new products.
The Center for Strategic and global Studies wrote in January that the Emad would have a range of 1,700 km (1,100 miles), 500 meters accuracy and a 750 kg (1,700 pound) payload.
Dehghan said mass production of missile would be followed by supplies of the weapon to the Iranian military, the semi-official Press TV reported.
He further said that the Islamic Republic will decisively continue its missile development program.
