A day before the first phase of the Bihar polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that there was no question of rolling back reservations and slammed the disinformation campaign by rival parties that the BJP was against reservations.’ “There is a dubious campaign being under taken by a few people before every election, that is the BJP comes to power it will remove reservations”.
Falsehood must stop. Terrorising society must end.
Invoking the legacy of B R Ambedkar on the eve of the first phase of Bihar polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday categorically ruled out scrapping the reservation system and assailed “a group of liars” for the false propaganda that it is under threat. That’s why all the BJP initiatives are only a way of paying back with gratitude.”6:09 pm: “Despite having fought many battles, Dr. Ambedkar he did not have any bitterness”.
“We welcome the foundation stone laying ceremony of Ambedkar Memorial, the project initiated by the Congress-NCP government”.
He further said the Sena had played an important role in raising the voice of the Dalit community in the Parliament and in the state, but the BJP chose to ignore its contribution by not inviting its chief. “This indicates that we champion the cause of the Dalits, the downtrodden and the poor”.
He said that five landmarks associated with Dr. Ambedkar’s life, including one in Madhya Pradesh, Alipur House in Delhi, the Indu Mill memorial, Dr. Ambedkar’s residence in Mumbai and the house in London will be developed as “Panch-Tirth” (quintet pilgrimage). He said a world-class memorial would be built at the Indu Mills Compound, and said this memorial should have public participation from all villages of Maharashtra. “But, just a few months after assuming power, we laid the foundation stone for the memorial today”. The world knows Martin Luther King, but it is very unfortunate that they do not know Ambedkar.
“If Ambedkar had not been there, where this Modi would be?” he asked.
