Wales Qualify for Euro 2016 Despite Loss to Bosnia
Israel’s 2-1 defeat at home to Cyprus left them on 13 points and meant the Welsh could not be caught in the race for an automatic place at the finals in France next year.

The result will be academic now that qualification has been secured but, having suffered a first defeat of the campaign in Bosnia, Wales can end it on a high and toast their historic achievement in front of a delirious home crowd.
Wales have qualified for Euro 2016 despite a 2-0 defeat against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We have almost got there in the past, but we haven’t delivered”, Coleman said.
Against Bosnia, they looked more nervy, but with Cyprus springing a surprise on Israel in Jerusalem, Wales can go into Tuesday’s dead-rubber against Andorra in Cardiff in the mood to celebrate. There’s no doubt that they should be as fired up for this fixture as their British visitors.
“I remember them as a fan and with every campaign comes those questions of getting to a major tournament”.
So Wales will now head to France next summer, 58 years after their only previous major finals appearance at the 1958 World Cup in Sweden.
“The first one’s away in Bosnia, which will be a tough game, and then Andorra back at home on the following Tuesday so they’re games we’ll be looking to take the points from”.
“This is right up there in my career”.
Bale has been the main man for Wales for a while now and he is truly working miracles as he is single handedly leading Wales to Euro 2016.
“When we come off losing 2-0 I thought we would have to go again but our secretary gave us the Israel result and it was complete elation”, former Wales defender Coleman said.
“Sometimes with success comes complacency, but not with this group of players”.
Elsewhere, Aaron Ramsey played a starring role for Arsenal in the 3-0 win over Manchester United, while Gareth Bale made his return from a calf injury for Real Madrid in the Madrid derby.
‘When I was walking off I saw our supporters were singing and our secretary, Mark Evans, whispered in my ear that Israel had lost.
“I can’t emphasise enough the importance of us maintaining what we’ve been doing and that’s performing”.
“It didn’t quite happen tonight but we still wanted to get the ball down and try to play”. It was a dream from when I was a small child to play in a major tournament, but it doesn’t stop here.

“Now we have to think of recovery”, Conte told the Italian Football Federation website after Saturday’s victory.
