The Chicago Cubs defeated the division rival Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL Wild Card playoff game last Wednesday, behind a complete game shutout from untouchable ace Jake Arrieta.
The Cubs pitcher then made his way down to first. Arrieta had hit two Pirates, but there did not appear to be intent: Besides the elimination game factor, he hit Cervelli in the hand and Harrison with a breaking ball. Watson was issued a warning.
