Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (knee) is probable for Week 5

Detroit Lions was robbed of a victory against the Seattle Seahawks in the Week Four of the season and it might have still given this squad a confidence boost. This act generally constitutes a penalty that would give the offense the ball back with half the distance to the goal. This will be a match-up of two entirely different offenses.

In Arizona’s 2008 Super Bowl season, coach Ken Whisenhunt had the team stay in the Washington, D.C., area after a 24-17 loss to the Redskins. Historically, the Lions lead the series 33-27-5, but haven’t been able to defeat the Cardinals in the last ten years.

That will go out as a warning to the Lions for today’s game, and unless they are at their very best, especially in defense, then today could be a long game for them. They are a few plays from being nearly undefeated.

This week, Detroit must get the running game going. This season Ellington has 12 carries for 69 yards and with this being his first game back, fantasy owners should look at Chris Johnson as the best starter option for the Cardinals, at least for this week. Zach Zenner showed what he had this offseason as well, but hasn’t gotten a prolonged look quite yet. The rookie will need to have a big day in the way Todd Gurley did last week against the Cardinals. Run blocking has somehow been worse, and the play calling of this limping squad has slowly become a national story.

“It’s “Bombs over Baghdad” around here”, Quin said of the Cardinals’ offense, referencing the popular Outkast song from 2000.

Will Matthew Stafford and the offense get rolling? If Johnson’s production continues to dwindle, the Lions could possibly cut him and take a more reasonable $4.9 million hit on the salary cap instead.

Arizona has an average of 405 yards per game, and Carson Palmer is leading this team down the field, often easily.

Following a fumble by Lions wide receiver Golden Tate, Palmer fired his second touchdown pass to wide receiver John Brown from 18 yards away to make it 28-7. At the age of 32, Larry Fitzgerald has resurrected his career in 2015. But with Andre Ellington back, someone else needs out, and it’s unlikely to be a running back. The offensive line is playing poorly and Stafford is rarely comfortable in the pocket. “We’ve got to do a great job fundamentally tackling this guy in the running game and the passing game”.

Rookie Ameer Abdullah has been an improvement over Joique Bell, though he’s averaging 3.38 yards per carry. Patrick Peterson now has that chore. If that’s the case again this Sunday, Josh Wilson and Quandre Diggs will have to do everything within their power to keep LFJ in check. That is the talk coming from the locker room. Tight end Daniel Fells beat the one-on-one coverage of linebacker Stephen Tulloch on a 14-yard pass play to tie it. If you can dink and dunk enough, you can get down the field. He’s a gunslinger who makes plays based on his cannon arm, not his ability to be efficient.
