That much was expected, as is Monday’s pro-forma Senate vote to approve the bill again and send it to Gov. Jerry Brown for his signature.

California lawmakers are considering a measure that will require vaccinations for most children in public schools.
The bill previously passed the Senate with a floor vote of 25-11.
Brown signed the bill on Tuesday.
If it becomes law, California will have one of the strictest vaccine restrictions in the country.
Democratic Sens. Richard Pan of Sacramento said: “The science remains unequivocal that vaccines are safe, that vaccines save lives”.

The Senate approved the bill on a 23-14 vote. Other parents that refuse vaccination for their children can attempt to obtain medical exemptions or choose homeschooling for their children.
In Florida, parents can exempt their children for religious or medical reasons if they go in person to the Department of Health. In tow was her 8-year-old son, Jackson, who she said has not been fully vaccinated according to schedule.
“The governor believes that vaccinations are profoundly important and a major public health benefit, and any bill that reaches his desk will be closely considered”.
Brown signed the bill, but directed state health officials to allow parents with religious exemptions avoid that requirement.
