Arizona Cardinals at Detroit Lions- 10/11/15 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Chris Johnson is obviously the hot hand in Arizona’s backfield right now, and I think that the Cardinals need to stick with him until he proves that there are better options or that his career workload has caught up to him. He’s a gunslinger who makes plays based on his cannon arm, not his ability to be efficient.

The important rule though is how you bounce back after a loss with yet another weak opponent. They might not have a really tough matchup until Week 12 at Denver.

For a majority of Lions fans, you likely remember a lot of the more recent battles between these two clubs.

With a quick glance at scoring over the past three weeks, it could be easy to confuse Arizona and Detroit as being on the same offensive level – the Cardinals at 39 and the Lions at 38.

They will be in the hills of West Virginia between Sundays game against the Lions and coach Bruce Arians return to Pittsburgh, where he was offensive coordinator for so long, the following week. Overall, there are a few solid veterans on that unit. Joe Lombardi is really hamstringing what could be a very explosive offense.

The day after Detriot lost a controversial Monday night game against the Seahawks, Lions coach Jim Caldwell said that his team would be moving on and that they wouldn’t be talking about it anymore.

Repeat: Aaron Rodgers just threw an interception at Lambeau field. Floyd had five catches last week and drew two pass interference calls.

THIS AND THAT: Both teams have something to prove in this contest. Unfortunately, Alex Smith is a “safe” quarterback unwilling to make the big play down field.

The Chip Kelly experiment is all but over in Philadelphia. He appears to be hungry to go all the way to the Super Bowl this year, and his team is rallying behind that belief as well.

“Can’t wait to get out there, just see what I’ve been working on so hard, what I have been preparing for so hard in the offseason for these caliber-type of receivers”. Have you heard that before? These teams know each other as well two teams not in the same division can. “We will come back”. James Ihedigbo’s been a menace in the secondary, forcing three fumbles, but they can’t cover as a group, ranking in the bottom third in the league in passing yards allowed. Keep your eyes on Patrick Peterson, who relishes the chance to guard Calvin Johnson. What were the Rams able to exploit last week in giving the Cardinals their first loss of the season?

Carson Palmer will be looking for Larry Fitzgerald in the slot and John Brown down the field.

Pick the Patriots giving 8.5points as they head down to Dallas after their bye week. Ryan Mallett. And Brandon Weeden. I expect Shea’s hangover to be massive as New England wins by at least 2 touchdowns.

Let there be no doubt St. Louis had the most impressive victory of the weekend.

Matthew Stafford appears to be heading in the opposite direction Stafford has struggled big time over the first month of the season, and the offense has been anemic as a result. Weatherspoon was signed to be a starting inside linebacker and run the defense.
