“By March, 2016 we expect to assemble all phones that will be sold in India at two outsourced locations in the country”, said Arvind R Vohra, Gionee’s India CEO and MD.

The company last month partnered with Foxconn and Dixon so that it can officially start manufacturing its own handsets in India. Initially, the focus would be on improving the assembly lines. “See the money is directly linked to returns, if we see high returns why would we not invest more?”

Talking about the Smartphone features, the newly launched Elife E8 features a QuadHD display sporting a 6-inch 2560×1440 pixel AMOLED display protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield. We are very excited to find a great strategic partner as Snapdeal for Gionee ELIFE E8″ William Lu, president of Gionee added “Gionee’s ELIFE E8 is going to be one of the finest offering to the Indian smartphone market with its cutting edge technology and design element. ELIFE E8 comes packed with 24 MP rear camera, which will be able to produce photographs up to 1200Mpxl in resolution.
