A heartwarming photograph has emerged on social media of a young man who allowed a stranger with special needs to hold his hand on a busy bus.

Robert then held on tight to Godfrey’s hand, before hugging him and kissing his hands throughout their journey to the end of the line in Hamilton, Ontario.
Godfrey, who had just left a burrito restaurant, said: “He kept holding my hand”. Cuotto said. “Sometimes you just have to be selfless and put someone else’s needs above yours”.
The man, known only as Robert, who has cerebral palsy, didn’t let go of Mr Coutto’s for the duration of the trip.
A passenger on the bus witnessed the interaction and posted a picture onto a community Facebook page.
The photo has garnered almost 45,000 likes with more than 10,000 shares on Facebook and a significant amount of positive feedback.
“I just allowed it, like what am I going to do?”
Others took to Twitter to praise Mr Cuotto. “May god bless you and your loving mother for raising such a fine young man”. We need to stop being so self-centered. Caring towards others is the best feeling in the world!
The student told the Kiss 92.5 radio station said that his act of kindness stemmed from the way he’d been brought up, saying of his mother: ‘I was raised by a queen’. You and your parents should be proud of your humanity!
He added later that Robert’s family sent him a message on Facebook, thanking them for accepting the gesture. “I was obviously freaked out but I tried to understand his position”, Mr Coutto said.
“Godfrey Cuotto should consider a career in politics!”
Corina Rideout, another Facebook user, wrote: “This story melts my heart”.
